Midweek Wedding

With the 2020 wedding season being such a washout, here at The Cheeky Hound we are hoping that 2021 will be a better year for weddings (well let’s face it, just a better year in general).

Whilst we don’t have a crystal ball so can’t tell you what the Coronavirus Pandemic will be doing, what we can tell you is that many venues and suppliers are already nearly full for 2021.  So, if you want to get married in 2021 and haven’t already secured your preferred venue and suppliers, you could be out of luck...

Or you could consider a midweek wedding! Midweek weddings were becoming more popular pre-covid, with Saturdays being sought after at the best of time. Now that so many couples have had to reschedule their big day, We are imagining that midweek 2021 is potentially going to be very BUSY.

Naturally the benefit of marrying outwith the weekend is the cost but with availability potentially being scarce, a midweek wedding could mean having the pick of your favourite venues and suppliers - bonus.

Fridays followed by Sundays are the second and third most popular days to get married but we can see Thursday being a new favourite. Who doesn’t want to spend Thursday celebrating their family member or friends wedding, have Friday to recover then still have the whole weekend ahead. With so many people working much more flexibly, it could work out as a great option.

Whilst midweek weddings aren’t up everyone’s street and some guests might be perturbed at getting an invite for a midweek wedding, trust us, the people you really want to be there, will be – no matter which day you choose!
